Sony WF-1000XM6 specs leak, here’s what’s improved compared to the previous generation | Infinium-tech
Sony is finally unveiling the WF-1000XM6 earbuds on February 12, and ahead of that, a leak claims to bring us their most important features.
The buds will reportedly use a new QN3e processor that will be three times faster than the WF-1000XM5. There will also be eight adaptive mics (four per earbud), up from six (three per earbud) on the previous generation.

There are even new drivers, as well as support for LDAC, DSEE Extreme, 10-band EQ, Auracast, Multipoint, Fast Pair, and Swift Pair. The buds will get eight hours of battery life, and the case holds two additional charges (16 hours). The buds will be IPX4 rated for splash resistance.
The buds have improved ergonomics, better airflow management, and a fitting test integrated into the app. They will also support 360 Reality Audio with head tracking and a smart ambient mode with three automatic profiles. You will get four sizes of earbud tips in the box.
