Samsung’s upcoming foldables may get this AI feature | Infinium-tech
According to a new report, Samsung is going to add scam detection to the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8, and the “Wide Fold,” whatever its actual business name, right from the start.
This was revealed via code inside the latest beta version of the Phones by Google app, which suggests that the Gemini-powered feature is expanding to Samsung’s next generation of foldables. Currently, Scam Detection only works in the US, but Samsung is looking to expand its geographic footprint as well.

The mentions of foldables coming inside the code in the Phones by Google app suggest that some of the different models are expected to launch in different locations, so this is speculation – we’re certainly hoping this useful feature won’t be limited to the US for much longer.
Google already supports this feature in several countries on its Pixel 9 and Pixel 10 devices, so it’s reasonable that Samsung would want to do the same. Samsung is expected to launch the next generation of foldable smartphones at a dedicated Unpacked event in July.
