Samsung plans to sell a million units of its new wider foldable phone | Infinium-tech
Samsung recently officially announced its trifold named Galaxy Z Trifold and even sold some units of it in South Korea. But later this year, the company is expected to launch another foldable phone, which is rumored to arrive with the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Flip8 this summer.

According to supply chain sources, Samsung is planning to sell at least 1 million units of what will be called the Galaxy Wide Fold, or at least that’s the temporary name. The Wide Fold will feature a 4:3 foldable display in an effort to compete with the upcoming iPhone Fold, which is also rumored to have a 4:3 foldable panel.
And it won’t be a special edition phone either. People familiar with the matter claim that Samsung is planning to produce 1 million units, meaning it’s going to be a full member of the Galaxy foldable lineup. It also signals Samsung’s confidence in the product and its belief that it will boost sales of its foldable devices in general. For example, the company sold nearly 6 million units of the Galaxy Z Fold7 last year, so the new “Wide Fold”‘s 1 million sales in the first year is certainly an ambitious goal.
