Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold to be imminently discontinued | Infinium-tech
The company’s first double-folding smartphone, the Galaxy Z Trifold, will be discontinued about three months after its launch, according to a new report from Samsung’s home country Korea. Samsung will reportedly stop domestic sales of the device on March 17.
The company has been notorious for underselling the phone at times because it produced it in incredibly low quantities. So only a few units were available, which naturally sold out immediately.

The same source says sales will continue in the US, where the Galaxy Z Trifold became available later than Korea, but only “until the current production quantity is sold out”. Since we assume the volume isn’t high, if you’re in the US and want the TriFold, now’s the time to get it before Samsung officially discontinues it there too.

To say this is a strange launch would be an understatement. It’s almost as if Samsung is selling a prototype production run, and nothing more – the small amount of available stock points to this, as does the closure after just three months. Expected to have a Galaxy Z Trifold 2 (now) he is A silly name), and it would feel less like a prototype and more like a proper product.
