Samsung expects that the Galaxy Z Fold8 will outsell its Z Flip8 sibling for the first time | Infinium-tech
When it comes to the Galaxy S series, despite being the most expensive of the three, the Ultra outsells the other two models (vanilla and Plus) combined. However, it’s the other way around with foldables – the cheaper Z Flip outsells the pricier Z Fold.
Now ice universe Insiders are quoted as saying that Samsung will attempt to change things this year – it is reportedly planning to produce 3.5 million units of the Galaxy Z Fold8 and 2.5-3 million Galaxy Z Flip8 units.

These figures do not seem to include the upcoming new model, tentatively named Galaxy Wide Fold, which is said to have a production target of 1 million units. There’s also the Galaxy Z Trifold, but it’s a low-volume Halo product.
Again, these are rumored production targets – how many models will actually be purchased by consumers remains to be seen.
Tomorrow, snow revealed Samsung’s production targets for the Galaxy S26 family will lean even more toward Ultra. Keep in mind, the S26 Ultra reportedly began mass production in December, while the S26 and S26+ only did so in January, which may explain the odd numbers.

The Galaxy S26 series will be unveiled later this month, while the new foldables should arrive in or around July.
