Redmi Turbo 5 runs Geekbench, confirms its chipset | Infinium-tech
Redmi has been teasing the Turbo 5 Max for some time now, but this model will not launch alone. Instead, it will be joined by the ‘vanilla’ Turbo 5, which is now running Geekbench.
This means there is an online listing for it in the benchmark’s database, and you can see it in the screenshot below. The Geekbench run confirms the fact that the Redmi Turbo 5 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 SoC, which was announced less than a week ago. So the rumor back in late December about this chipset powering the Turbo 5 was true.

This chip was paired with 16GB of RAM in the prototype that ran the benchmarks with model number 2511FRT34C. The phone will run on Android 16 from day one. It is still unclear when Redmi will make it official, but it is expected to happen by the end of this month. Stay tuned.
