Realme interchangeable lens concept hands-on | Infinium-tech
Realme’s main focus in this year’s Mobile World Congress is to launch its 14 Pro series in Europe, but the company made a little discovery.
Meet Realme Interchangeable Lens Concept – A Realme smartphone that can mount Leica M Lens on your back!
Before we go to the growing lens, let’s look at the underlying phone. It is a Realme smartphone running two years old Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The back is reminiscent of 15 ultra of Xiaomi in its dual tone silver chrome.
Realme has a glass-covered camera island with two cameras-a wide and ultravide, as well as a custom 1-inch type without optics with a Sony-made sensor.
The camera island frame is a type of special mount, which can take a leaky m mount screw-on adapter, which allows you to attach Lika M Lens.
This means that all the considerable lens options of Leica are available to you – Leica M Today is the oldest actively used camera Mount.
Realme had 73 mm (about 3x) and 230 mm (10X) equivalent lenses. However, if you are supplying your own lens, you will need an account for crop factor, which is around 2.47 for 1 -inch type phone sensor.
This will make a classic 50 mm lens (around 2x compared to the main sensor of a phone) or about 5.4x or about 5.4x.
Realme is not for the first concept. We saw the same thing in 2022 when Xiaomi showed a 12s ultra that could mount Leica M lens.
Anyway, concept phones are designed to prove an engineering point – the right to kill a boast than a product will produce a large scale and sell to customers.
So this realme is not coming to you in a store. But after a few stable years of the traditional phone, it is still fresh to see such enthusiasm for innovation at the Mobile World Congress Ground.
