Realme GT 7 Pro to arrive in India with a smaller battery | Infinium-tech
The Realme GT 7 Pro is going global on November 26, and we’ve already established that its battery life is leading edge. However, not everyone will benefit from a 6,500 mAh cell that goes from 0 to 50% in 13 minutes – Realme is launching the phone in India with a lower capacity.
The Amazon listing revealed that the GT7 Pro will have a 5,800 mAh capacity, which is about 10% less than the original.
We spoke to Realme India representatives who confirmed that the smaller capacity is real, not Amazon’s fault. When asked about the decision, they simply said it was due to “regulations”, but failed to explain what exact rules they were following.
The lack of answers means we don’t have a solution to the bigger question: Did Realme limit the GT7 Pro’s Si/Si dual cell to play a numbers game, or did it just build a cheaper 5,800 mAh Li-ion Did the sale to keep the price low?
The answer to this will remain a mystery for at least a few more days until we see an Indian unit taken apart, revealing the battery inside.
