Samsung is launching its Galaxy S25 series next week on January 22 and the Brazilian publication technoblog Some official-looking press materials were shared detailing the key specifications and AI features coming to the new phone.
The Galaxy S25+ (and we assume the S25) will feature a 50MP main camera with 2x in-sensor zoom, a 10MP 3x telephoto cam, and a 12MP ultrawide lens. Both will also have 12MP selfie cameras. The Galaxy S25+ will get the same 4,900 mAh battery capacity as its predecessor, which Samsung is advertising to last up to 30 hours for video playback.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is getting the same camera setup as its predecessor – a 200MP main camera with 2x in-sensor zoom, a 50MP periscope with 5x optical zoom, a 10MP “small” telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide lens. There will be a 12MP selfie camera on the front, which is no surprise.
The battery on the S25 Ultra will be the same 5,000 mAh capacity as its predecessors and Samsung claims that you will be able to watch videos for up to 31 hours.
All Galaxy S25 series phones will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip along with 12GB of RAM as standard.
The new leak also details the new AI features launching on the S25 series.
Briefs will now offer personalized summaries for your day with a morning summary, commute summary, and evening summary. If you have a Samsung wearable device, Morning Briefing will show information like the weather forecast, your daily schedule, and your energy score.
Traffic will begin brief navigation and music playback when you enter a vehicle. The evening summary will give you information about your daily activity trends and “memorable moments” of the day in the form of a photo collage.
We also get a glimpse of the updated Google Gemini integration, with Samsung opening up its first-party apps to work with Google’s AI Assistant.
You’ll be able to ask Gemini to read content to your screen from apps like YouTube and then interact with Samsung apps like Samsung Notes.
