Qi V2.2.1 Standard now has a fancy marketing name: QI2 25W. And as that name means, it is a wireless charging imagination that goes up to 25W. It was officially unveiled today by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC).

WPC has promised that “major Android smartphones” (whatever it means) “with this launch for the first time QI2 is going to join the ecosystem”, obviously in addition to Apple’s iPhones. Fourteen devices, receivers and transmitters, completed the QI2 25W certification test last week, and the full -scale certification test is now open to “several hundred equipment to be tested in the queue”.

Previous, compared to 15W imagination, QI2 25W provides approximately 70% more strength, and according to WPC market research, wireless charging number is a rapid wireless charging number one consumer-anted feature to improve wireless charging satisfaction.
