Oppo Find N5 / OnePlus Open 2 will be impressively thin, specs leak reveals | Infinium-tech

According to a now-deleted post by noted Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station, Oppo’s next book-style foldable is coming soon. It will be called the Find N5 and will be the successor to the Find N3 that was launched last October.

The company will likely drop the “4” because TetraphobiaThe Find N5 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. It will feature a “2K+” inner folding screen, a 50 MP main camera using a Sony sensor, a periscope telephoto camera, and a circular camera island.

The phone will be just over 9mm thick, which brings it very close to Honor’s Magic V3, the current record holder for the world’s thinnest foldable smartphone. Whether or not the Find N5 can snatch this title remains to be seen, but even if it doesn’t, a thickness of under 10mm is still very impressive for a foldable.

The Find N5 is also rumored to have improved water resistance (its predecessor was only rated for IPX4 splash resistance), and a three-step alert slider. The Find N5 is reportedly set to be released between January and March. It’s likely to launch in China only, and be rebranded as the OnePlus Open 2 in international markets, in which case all of the above information obviously applies to that model as well.
