OpenAI launches ChatGPT Health with Apple Health and MyFitnessPal integration | Infinium-tech
OpenAI is launching ChatGPT Health, a special space within ChatGPT where you can connect your Apple Health, MyFitnessPal, Function, Weight Watchers, AllTrails, Instacart, and Peloton accounts and ask questions about your health. OpenAI says ChatGPT has been “designed in close collaboration with physicians” to “help people take a more active role in understanding and managing their health and well-being”. And use ChatGPT more.
Based on “anonymized analysis of conversations”, OpenAI knows that more than 230 million people around the world already ask ChatGPT about health and wellness, and that ChatGPT Health is considered a place to do so more safely.
In health, there is “purpose-built encryption and isolation”, OpenAI’s press release says, “to keep health conversations protected and divided”. The company also promises that it won’t use your health chats to train its models, and points out that you can enable multi-factor authentication if you want extra security.

OpenAI is partnering with B.Well, “the largest and most secure network of live, connected health data for US consumers,” which “adheres to the highest industry standards in data security and privacy” if you want to connect your medical records too.
The specialized health model can, among other things, explain lab results in accessible language, generate questions for appointments, interpret data from wearables and wellness apps, and summarize care instructions. To use Health, simply select it from the sidebar menu in ChatGPT.
ChatGPIT Health is now available to a “small group of early users” outside the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the UK. Medical records integrations are for the US only.
