MacBook Neo sales projected to be strong, interesting news surfaces about the Neo 2 | Infinium-tech
Last week, Apple launched the MacBook Neo, the cheapest MacBook ever, but apparently not Cheap Per Machine – Absolutely AffordableIs Compared to other MacBooks.
Nio now expects to ship about 4.5 to 50 million units this year, with 2-25 million units before the end of June. The laptops are currently being assembled exclusively by Quanta, with Foxconn probably becoming the second supplier in the near future.

Luxshare is actively trying to become an assembler for the Neo 2 with its intention of becoming the world’s largest laptop assembler, for which it has rapidly expanded its Windows laptop assembly business over the last 1-2 years.
As for the MacBook Neo 2, it was originally expected to have a touchscreen, but Ming-Chi Kuo says that may now change. Perhaps Apple realized it could sell this line well even without adding such a more expensive component. And it appears that Apple will keep the touchscreen exclusive to the MacBook Ultra, the most expensive MacBook ever sold.
Interestingly, Kuo estimates that competing laptops will inevitably become more expensive by the end of the year due to memory costs, and so the MacBook Neo will appear to be a better deal in the future. We’ll obviously believe it when we see it, but it’s not something that’s outside the realm of possibility, that’s for sure.
