Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro lineup has been the subject of several leaks in recent weeks. Now the latest rumor claims to reveal the battery capacity of the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
In a post on Weibo, tipster Digital Chat Station claims that the iPhone 18 Pro Max will have a 5,000mAh (or larger) battery in China.
Meanwhile, the international variant is said to have a slightly larger battery, likely in the 5,100-5,200mAh range. The tipster claims that the phone will offer better battery life thanks to the new 2nm A20 Pro chipset.
The difference in battery capacity is due to the China-specific models featuring a physical SIM slot, while most international variants will only get an eSIM. For reference, the iPhone 17 Pro Max with a physical SIM slot has a 4,832mAh battery, while the eSIM variant gets a slightly larger 5,088mAh cell.
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro lineup this September, with the standard iPhone 18 model reportedly being skipped, which is a notable departure from its usual launch strategy.
