iPhone 17 Air starts its journey to mass production | Infinium-tech
Apple has long been rumored to be making changes to its smartphone lineup next year. The company will reportedly replace the Plus model with the iPhone 17 Air, an impossibly thin device that may only have a single rear camera.
According to a new report from supply chain sources, the iPhone 17 Air has now entered the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase. This is the first step on the path to production, and involves Apple and its suppliers working together to assess the feasibility of the design and the manufacturing methods required to assemble the device.

They also need to ensure that the approaches planned for assembly are practical. Thus, small design changes may still occur at this stage, to conform to manufacturing capabilities (and/or costs). A small-scale test production line will be set up following the NPI to ensure execution aligns with the plan.
So it’s definitely still early days for the iPhone 17 Air journey to reality, but things are moving towards its production, so it seems pretty clear that Apple has indeed planned its Plus model for next year. Have left. Let us see whether air fares are better in terms of sales or not.
