Huawei’s tri-fold Mate XT stars in new teaser video | Infinium-tech
Huawei is preparing to launch its first tri-fold smartphone – the Mate XT – on September 10 and the teaser campaign for the device is in full swing. The latest addition is a short teaser video that gives us a glimpse of the Mate XT’s design.
The video features actor, singer-songwriter and filmmaker Andy Lau in the lead role, who has been named as the brand ambassador for Huawei’s Ultimate Design brand. The Mate XT features a vegan leather back with an octagonal-shaped camera island that’s not too different from the Mate 60 RS Ultimate.
A closeup shot of the back of the Mate XT shows that it will have four cameras including a periscope module, but we don’t have any specific details about the sensors yet. The last part of the video shows the device in its unfolded form, with the focus being on its remarkably slim profile.
According to the most recent rumors, the Mate XT will feature a 10-inch folding screen, a 5G-enabled Kirin chipset, and up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. According to speculations, this tri-fold smartphone will be priced between CNY 16,000-17,000, which is equivalent to $2,250-2,400.
