Foxconn is now assembling the iPhone 16e in Brazil | Infinium-tech
Apple’s leading contract maker, Foxconn, India, Vietnam and Brazil have been diversifying their iPhone assembly facilities beyond China for years with plants. Recently a rumor suggested that Apple is trying to expand the iPhone construction in Brazil and now we are confirmed that the iPhone 16E units sold in Brazil are locally manufactured locally in the Foxcony factory in Jundia, Sao Paulo.
As reported McMagazineThe retail boxes of the iPhone 16E sold in Brazil have a feature in the “Brazil – Brazilian industry gathered” tag. The devices come with the A3409 model number and MD1R4BR/A identifier.

This is not the first time Foxconn has manufactured an iPhone in Brazil, as Foxconn has collected the iPhone SE 2020, as well as the Vanilla iPhone 13, 14, 15 and 16 models. In the light of the recent Liberation Day Tariff, Apple wants to expand its presence in countries with more favorable tariffs and is one of the lowest importing Brazil.
