Epic Games defeats Apple and Google in Australian court, Fortnite returns to iOS in another market | Infinium-tech
Fortnite is a step to make its comeback in Australia as Epic Games won their latest court in two separate cases against Apple and Google. The federal court of Australia concluded that both Apple and Google violated the local competition law by misusing their market power as to how they operate their app store. The 30% in-app commission charged by both Apple and Google was indicated as prime examples of limiting competition.

While the latest ruling epic is large for the epic, the court dismissed some claims of the Fortnight manufacturer, including Consumer law and involvement violated in “unconscious conduct” by Apple and Google.
Apple and Google issued official statements with both companies, which disagree with the court’s verdict against their billing policies and claims of anticomtitive benefits.
Epic started its legal battle against Apple in Australia in November 2020 and later filed anti -competition claims against Google in March 2021. Both cases were simultaneously handled by the federal court of Australia, and the 2,000+ page decision will no longer be issued publicly.
