Check out the Realme GT 8 Pro and its interchangeable camera housing | Infinium-tech
The Realme GT 8 series is set to launch in China next week and will be the first phone from the brand to feature custom Ricoh imaging tuning. Apart from the fancy camera hardware, Realme will also offer some modular customization options with interchangeable modules for the camera housing.
The camera housing or deco has two Torx screws on the side, which hold the module in place. The system appears to use magnets, so you can quickly pop the housing in place and then add two screws to secure it in place. Realme revealed that it will offer square, round and robot styles with different material finishes and colors.

It remains to be seen if Realme will exclusively make these camera housings or if third-party manufacturers will also be involved. We’re also thinking about how this modular approach will allow for easier repairs.

Apart from the interchangeable camera deco, Realme also revealed that the GT8 Pro will feature a new paper-like recycled leather back.
The material is reportedly wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant and just 0.02 mm thick.
