Apple’s AirTag 2 gets an improvement for its anti-stalking feature | Infinium-tech
Apple launched the second-generation AirTag in January, and now the tracker is receiving a firmware update. This takes the tracker’s firmware to version 3.0.45.
It comes with the usual anonymous bug fixes and improvements as well as an update to the unwanted tracking feature (aka anti-stalking). The unwanted tracking sound has now been updated to be able to more easily locate an unknown AirTag with Precision Finding.

Basically, if you’re being followed with an AirTag, you’ll receive a notification on your iPhone saying that an unknown AirTag is traveling with you, and then you have the option to trigger Precision Finding and make it noisy so it’s easier to find. That noise should now be more prominent, which will help the process.
The new firmware is installed automatically, you don’t need to do anything. To see if you already have it, go to the Find My app and check the firmware version of your AirTag.
