Xiaomi Smart Band 9 in for review | Infinium-tech

This is the Smart Band 9 from Xiaomi and it’s on sale now in Europe for €40/£35. It ships in a small box with a proprietary magnetic pin charger that terminates at a USB-A port.

The smart band’s easily detachable body matches well with accessories – we received a dual-tone leather strap (normally £18) and a running clip (£8), which lets you attach the band to your sneakers. Provides facility to connect.

Due to the difference in dimensions, the Running Clip 9 is only compatible with the Smart Band 9.

So what’s new in Xiaomi Smart Band 9 compared to 8? It is sometimes a little smaller, although you are unlikely to notice any difference. Health tracking accuracy has been improved – Xiaomi claims heart rate and blood oxygen saturation tracking is 16% better. There is also a reported 7.9% improvement in sleep tracking accuracy.

The new band brings a larger 230mAh battery compared to the 190mAh of its predecessor.

Sadly, there is no GPS on the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 and you will have to wait for the Smart Band 9 Pro to arrive with a larger display and GPS, or go for the Smart Band 8 Pro.
