Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro review | Infinium-tech
Xiaomi is a long -time player in the wireless earbuds market, and the Buds 5 Pro is its latest flagship offering. For example, they bring a jam-pack set including triple driver, adaptive noise cancellation, APTX faulty streaming, dual device pairing and head tracking, just for a few names.
We have already reviewed the Semi in-In-Eyer Xiaomi Buds 5, which has influenced us with its sound and rich feature set, and now we are paying our attention to their supporter counterpart.
Visual similarity between the two buds 5 models is striking. The obvious difference is that the pro goes for traditional in-air design with good old silicone tips. This joint plays a major role in fit and seal around your ear canal, which was a disadvantage on regular buds 5.
As you expect, Pro Monicer suggests a more competent device, which is the case here. Buds 5 Pro offers better sound, better call quality and better battery life. So, is the high asking value worth it? We have spent the last two weeks with Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro and these are our conclusions.
Subject:
design
Our buds come in the 5 Pro review unit Titan Gray. It was also available at the colorway Buds 5, and it also has a high -reflective case lid that can be doubled as a small pocket mirror. The bottom half of the case has a matte finish, which does a better job of closing the fingerprint.
The Buds 5 Pro receives a rectangular-shaped charging case on the vanilla variants than the square one. The overall footprint is compared to the case on Buds 5, although it is still diluted enough to slide in a comfortable small pocket. The Bads remains straight in the case, acting like a helmet visor with a lid.
Each earbud weighs 6.5 grams, in this case add another 40 grams for a joint weight of 53 grams. The Buds 5 Pro has an almost identical design for Buds 5, with the only difference silicon tips that go to your ears. You still get the same pinch gesture pad on the bottom of each stem, which performs quite well in our testing period.
Jumping for the in-age fit, we are happy to say that the Buds 5 Pro offers a great seal. They live in place without staggering, and the contour shape of the speaker assembly is easy even after hearing long -term hearing on the earrings region.
This reviewer spent more than two weeks with Buds 5 Pro as his main task and gym earbuds without any complaint in case of comfort. Buds 5 Pro Run and other rapidly live in a place without any problem during book activities. Xiaomi also retained the resistance of IP54 dust and water, which means that buds 5 can handle rain sweat and light droplets without any hassle.
features
Xiaomi Buds 5 pro 11 mm dynamic drivers, an additional planner driver and a coaxial triple driver with PZT Twitter. The buds also have dual dac and cover the frequency response range from 15Hz to 50KHz, which is broader than Balis 5.
Support the Snapdragon sound with the Buds 5 Pro pair and APTX faulty high-bitrate (48KHz/24bit) at Bluetooth 5.4. Streaming up to 2.1Mbps. He also gets Custom Sound Tuning from Harman’s Golden Years team. Xiaomi is also offering a special version of the Buds 5 Pro, which connects the new Xiaomi phone via Wi-Fi for 96KHz/24- Bitt Losleus Audio and is a bitrate up to 4.2Mbps. It is a matter of regret, our review unit provides Bluetooth-keval connectivity.
To cancel the noise, the Buds 5 Pro has been rated to sink up to 55DB of noise up to 55DB for triple microphone systems updated inside each earbud. Xiaomi also claims that Buds 5 Pro thanks to its new AI Shor Reduction algorithm, up to 100DB can raise their voice in the nooisier environment. The buds are also advertised to cancel the high air speed of up to 15 meters/second during the call. The new Xiaomi phone also gets HD calling for clear-chanting calls.
The Buds 5 Pro provides standard array features found on most of the earbuds of this class, such as wear detection sensors, dual device pairing and Google fast pair, all of which worked defective in our tests in many phones and laptops.
Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro Facilities Xiaomi Earbuds inside the app
Xiaomi’s Earbuds App is your one-stop shop to make all aspects of Buds 5 Pro Twitter. You can hold a press and gesture with single, double and triple squeed presses on the stems. In the context of media playback, you also get volume control through play/poses, Next/previous songs through swipes. Xiaomi has completed this squeeze control setup, although we will still prefer single-tap control instead of squeezed gestures.
The app home screen has adaptive noise cancellations and toiles for ambient mode, while sound synchronous settings are buried under the audio balance togle.
The Buds 5 Pro also supports dimensional audio with head tracking, and the convenience works regardless of your device’s operating system. We tested it on both the iPhone 15 Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro+, -14 “MacBook Pro, and it worked equally well. This feature provided additional immersion for films, although we still consider it more about a gimmick, which we use regularly.
Like Buds 5, 5 Pro also has a built-in audio recording functionality, which means that you can use any buds as a voice recorder dedicated. It worked quite well with buds in our time, although you have to export your recording from Xiaomi Earbuds app every time. You can also use the facility to record the call, and the Buds 5 Pro will play a warning message to inform the person on the other side.
Another new addition is better lower delaying mode, which now falls to 50ms when the Xiaomi 14 series or new phone is connected through Bluetooth Le.
sound quality
While the bass was never a weak point on the non-ex-prostation 5, it is in another league on the Buds 5 Pro. It is not to say that we are working here with V-shaped tuning. Default Soundstage on Buds 5 Pro is favorably balanced between tonality compared to most earbuds.
It leaves the feeling of a puncture, and you definitely feel busy while listening to music or watching videos than Buds 5. Not only this, but also feel aerial and more directly without dominating the climb mids and high.
The default sound profile has already been very decency, although Xiaomi Earphones can bring out a slightly higher expansion in a slightly higher range of EQ Twitter inside the app.
We also have to mention the hardware benefits of silicon year tips, which can properly seal your ear canals. Better seal also translates to cancel the better sound quality and better noise. As expected, it is definitely an area where Buds 5 Pro has its biggest advantage on non-pro model.
Without any media playback, the pro model was capable of having a low-existence noise in the Gulf without any conflict, which was not the case at Balls 5. Add some tunes, and the ANC system takes care of the general annoyance associated with public transport and congested gym.
There is an adjustable transparency mode, which allows you to toggle, increase voice and increase ambient sound mode between regular mode. This setup was similar to the Redmi Buds 6 Pro and the enhance sound mode was the best option of all three.
Triple Mix on Buds 5 Pro did a great job during the call, which looked great at my end and on the other hand people reported a clear reception of my voice. The strong winds associated with bad street noise proved challenging for the Buds 5 Pro, but they still managed to raise my voice in a respectable job.
The connectivity was stellar during our review period. We tested the Buds 5 Pro in Android, iOS and McOS with no limit in all three and zero connectivity drops. The censor detecting the wear worked as expected and low delays mode made noticeable improvements on being connected to Xiaomi and Redmi phones.
battery life
Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro features a 53mAh battery facility inside the buds, while the case claims 570mAh battery. Xiaomi claims that you can expect an 8 -hour battery life on the same charge from buds with ANC, while the case increases the total game by 40 hours.
In our testing period, we got a little better results from the buds with 8 hours and 15 minutes with the ANC. If you turn on the ANC and opt for streaming through the APTX flawless codec, the battery endurance takes a noticeable hit, and we only work more than 6 hours of platforms.
The Buds 5 Pro also has a quick charge feature that receives you more than 4 hours of playback from the top-up of 10 minutes. A complete recharge of buds and the case from 0-100% take about 70 minutes through the USB-C port. You can also choose the option of wireless charging on any Qi wireless pad.
Decision
Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro from Brand is the best wireless earbuds to date. They provide excellent sound quality, support for high-bitrate streaming and a diverse feature set. The in-age fit was very good, and it reduced our main grip with Buds 5. Battery life is much better, although it is still not class-leading.
Onboard voice recorder is a good touch, and we also enjoyed the expansion of features inside the Xiaomi Earphones app. Call quality has been significantly improved on Buds 5 and wireless charging on the charging case is another overdue addition.
The Buds 5 Pro for the Bluetooth version € 200 and Qualcomm Xpan Wi-Fi connectivity at € 220, Buds 5 Pro is not cheap. You can easily opt for Redmi 6 Pro, which bring almost similar features at a very low price point.
We will prefer single-tap control gestures instead of squeeze implementation found here, but apart from this we do not have other grip. If you are in the Xiaomi ecosystem, the Buds 5 Pro is an easy recommendation that brings the best of the audio ambitions of the brand.
