WhatsApp launches Advanced Chat Privacy | Infinium-tech
Today WhatsApp has officially announced the advanced chat privacy launch, which was leaked earlier this month. It is a new “layer of privacy” available in both 1 -to -1 chat and groups, and it prevents others from taking your content outside WhatsApp when you want additional privacy.
If you turn it on, you prevent others from using messages, auto-down loading media on their phone, and AI features. Therefore, WhatsApp says, “In this way, everyone in chat believes that no one can take what is being said outside the chat”. As long as people know how to use screenshots, but we digest.
WhatsApp feels that this feature will be the most useful “in groups where you don’t know closely, but are sensitive in nature, such as talking about health challenges in a help group or organizing your community about something important for you”.
To turn it on, tap on the chat name, then tap up advanced chat privacy. WhatsApp says this is only the first version of the convenience and it is planning to add more to it in the future, so it will “eventually include even more security”.
