WhatsApp finally gets the message drafts feature, but the drafts don’t sync across devices | Infinium-tech
WhatsApp has finally announced the message draft feature for its users, which will remind them about the message that they started typing but did not send for any reason.
Starting to reply to a message and getting distracted… we know what it’s like ЁЯШ╡тАНЁЯТл
That’s why we’re introducing drafts! When you start a message and don’t finish it, you’ll see a draft indicator on the chat so you remember to press Send.

The way this message draft feature works is that when you have typed a message but not sent it, you will see a “Draft” indicator in green at the beginning of the message in the chat list. That chat will also move to the top of the chat list, so you’ll know if there’s a message you didn’t send.
We tried the feature on our devices in India and found that it doesn’t work with companion devices, meaning drafts don’t sync across devices (and the web). You get that with Telegram, which allows its users to start typing a message on one device and send it from another. We find this convenient and we would like WhatsApp to do the same by adding support for companion devices.
