Weekly poll: which Redmi Note 14 model will you get (if any)? | Infinium-tech
Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 14 series today and you’ll need a roadmap to figure out which, if any, is the right phone for you. There are no less than five new devices, ranging from vanilla Pro to Pro+ with 4G and 5G versions. And no, these are not the same Redmi Note 14 phones that were launched in India.
Thankfully, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is only available in 5G – it’s clearly the top dog of the family. It is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip and has 120W fast charging for the 5,110mAh battery. The Pro+, along with the Pro 4G and Pro 5G, feature a 200MP main camera with lossless 2x and 4x zoom. The camera uses a 1/1.4” sensor with 16-in-1 pixel binning and an f/1.65 lens with OIS.
Redmi Note 14 Pro+ pricing starts at €500/£400 for the 8/256GB unit and you can upgrade to a €550/£450 model with a 12/512GB configuration. Are you looking to get the Pro+ as your next phone? Before answering, you may want to read about other options.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro comes in 4G and 5G variants, powered by Helio G100 and Dimensity 7300 Ultra, respectively. Both support 45W charging, but the 4G model has a larger 5,500mAh battery, while the 5G has a 5,110mAh battery.
The 5G model stands out with a 6.67” display with a 1,220 x 2,712px resolution, as well as a high dust and water resistance rating of IP68. The 4G model has a 6.67” 1,080 x 2,400px resolution and IP64 rating but keeps the Victus 2 glass. Additionally, the 4G model has a microSD slot.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G is priced at €400/£300 for the 8/256GB phone. The Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G costs €300/£250 for the same 8/256GB configuration. Which model do you prefer, 4G or 5G? Or would you like to take one of the others?
The Redmi Note 14 also has 4G and 5G models, powered by the Helio G99 and Dimensity 7025 Ultra, respectively. Both have a microSD slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack. They only have a 1080p+ 6.67” display (120Hz, Gorilla Glass 5) and get 108MP main cameras with 9-in-1 binning (giving it 3x zoom).
The 5G phone has a 5,110mAh battery with 45W charging and an IP64 rating, the 4G model has a 5,500mAh battery with 33W charging and an IP54 rating.
The Redmi Note 14 4G is priced at €200/£180 with 6/128GB memory and €230/£230 for 8/256GB memory. The entire Redmi Note 14 series will be available from January 15 (Wednesday), will you get the vanilla Note 14 and which one, 4G or 5G?
