Weekly poll results: the vanilla Redmi Note 14 emerges as the unlikely victor | Infinium-tech
Well, here’s a surprise – last week’s survey revealed which is the most loved model in the Redmi Note 14 series and it’s not the Pro+ with its fancy curved display and 200 MP camera. No, he came second.
The most favorite of the series is actually the vanilla Redmi Note 14 5G. Yes, especially the 5G models – while some liked the Redmi Note 14 4G, both it and the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G proved much less popular than their 5G siblings. Perhaps this is a sign for Xiaomi to simplify the product line and only offer 5G phones going forward.
Looking at the series as a whole, people were disappointed by the lack of upgrades compared to the Redmi Note 13 series. “The price is high” was a common refrain in the comments section. Additionally, they may have the same name as the Redmi Note 14 series sold in India and China, but lack some new features like a Si/C battery.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro+, which is only available in 5G form, came in second place – not far behind the vanilla Note 14, but not far ahead of the regular Pro either. The Pro+ survey results show very high uncertainty on this model, much more so than the other two.
Talking about Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G, it stood at third place. We have already published our review, which also includes a video reviewIf you want to know more about the phone. Again, the 4G model received much less attention than its 5G model – while buying a 4G phone brings savings, Xiaomi should really consider abandoning the “either/or” strategy, especially on the Pro models.
As we noted in our review, the Note 14 Pro combines an upgrade (enough resistance to survive submersion in water) with a downgrade (no headphone jack), so perhaps Xiaomi is slowing down the rate of Note-series launches. It would be better to do that and “save” upgrades for major releases once a year.
We have multiple units for review: the Redmi Note 14 4G and 5G, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G, and also the Redmi Note 14 Pro+, so expect a detailed report soon.
