Weekly poll results: the OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE5 get a red card | Infinium-tech
Those days when OnePlus was a budget brand – but these days its budget product line is seen very expensive. It or it is not competitive in the current mid-range market. Last week’s pole painted a serious picture of Nord 5 and Nord CE5 future.
OnePlus Nord 5 performed very poorly, in which the multiplicity of the people voted against its hardware. The second largest group thought it was very expensive. Both are related, of course, but it is not only about the value of the money equation. Nord 4 had a unique form with that aluminum unibody – Nord 5 looks comparatively ordinary.
Snapdragon 8S General 3 chipset is very powerful, but you can get the new 8S General 4 for less money than Nord 5. And the 50+8MP camera was not seen as something special. The IP65 ratings and small batteries on the international model were also commonly brought as issues.

OnePlus Nord CE5 has received the most obvious message that we have seen so far – “No, I don’t like hardware” got more than 80% of the votes. It is also not a question about being very expensive (price is very close to Nord 5 in India, for example), people made a lot of holes in the spec sheets in the comments.
Some felt that Demistance 8350 Apex chipset did not get enough cooling and throwling hurt its continuous performance. Others pointed to the lack of stereo speakers (CE4 had them). For India, the model also has a major downgrade to go up to 5,200mAh for a global one from a 7,100mAh battery. The MicroSD slot scored some points by CE5, although not enough.

The Nord Series is currently in a bad place as it is facing strong competition in the mid-range market. A price deduction may promote OnePlus Nord 5, but it may not be enough to save the Nord CE5.
