Weekly poll results: the Motorola Signature is promising, but price and availability are a concern | Infinium-tech
Last week’s survey results show that the Motorola Signature has a lot of potential, but there are ways in which Motorola could screw it up, and to some extent, it already has. Know here what people have to say.
First of all, thin is good, but bigger battery is better. The general consensus was that the 5,200mAh battery is small for a phone with a 6.8″ display. Perhaps Apple, Samsung, and Google would disagree, but concern over battery life was a common refrain in the comments.
We’ve also heard a lot about market availability – the phone will launch in Europe and India soon, but much of the world map is still surrounded by question marks. This also includes the US, where Motorola is one of the few brands available apart from the trio mentioned above.

And then there’s the price – nearly a quarter of voters would wait for a price cut before considering buying a signature. That’s fair – the Moto Edge and Razer models go on almost permanent discount a few months after launch and there’s no reason why Signature should take a different path. Anyway, €1,000 was a big ask for a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (non-Elite) phone.
About 20% of voters are interested in getting the phone as soon as possible – some have already pre-ordered it. However, many people are waiting for the reviews. The phone looks great on paper, but some people have had bad experiences with older Motorolas and are taking a cautious approach.
Motorola has scheduled an event for January 23 to launch the Signature in India. It didn’t reveal the price, but that did leak. Availability should come shortly (if not immediately) after the event. As far as availability in Europe is concerned, we will get back to you regarding this.
