Weekly poll results: the Motorola Edge 50 Neo can be a hit, especially if the price drops a bit | Infinium-tech
Motorola is on to something new with the Edge 50 Neo – last week’s poll results suggest it could be a very popular device. It’s not for everyone and people have some legitimate criticisms, but Moto has really found a niche in the current mobile market and could reap the rewards for it.
The results are quite clear – people are interested in the phone, but they would like to see a detailed review before making a final decision. We are working on it, so stay tuned.
Some commenters say the Motorola Edge 50 Neo isn’t as small as they wanted. And in fact, it’s not the smallest Android. However, according to the survey, only a few people would avoid the Neo because of its size.
Price is a big problem, the Neo costs €500. Motorola phones are constantly getting great discounts, so a little patience may solve this problem.
This leaves only one problem that cannot be fixed – people would have liked to see a better chipset than the Dimensity 7300. It is a fairly low-cost chip, but an 8000 series or Snapdragon chip would have messed up the Neo’s budget.
We’ll see how the 7300 and the rest of the phone perform in our benchmarks, including key features like the LTPO display and 10MP 3x telephoto camera. A full report is expected soon.
