Weekly poll results: the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate is an innovative form factor that has potential | Infinium-tech
The previous week’s pole suggests that Huawei may have discovered the next popular form factor for foldables with Huawei Mate Xt Ultimate. The first three-foldable created a lot of interest, although the device itself could not be popular all this. Huawei knows it, of course, and retail package has been loaded as it is a premium limited version – which is in some ways.
Let’s look at the results-more than half the voters are interested in a three-foldable. Then, Xt ultimat probably not this. Nevertheless, 22% voted that they want one, which we are more than expected, looking at the € 3,500 price tag of the device.
The majority wants something Like XT Ultimate – Price is the biggest issue, although Huawei itself is a problem in itself. The company’s chipset is behind the competition and there is no Google Play store, which makes this device no-go for most.
Other companies, which are not subject to the same export restrictions similar to Huawei, are working on their own three-foldbals, so there should be options soon. Will they be better, though? In terms of performance and software access, of course, but Huawei has proved himself a whizz in making thin foldables, something that Samsung has not yet matched.
Naturally, some see tri-folded designs as a gimmick-but still more people think that the entire “foldable phone” is a gimmick. But the rest of the XT is seen as innovation.
