Weekly poll: are you using the S Pen’s remote control functions? | Infinium-tech
The S Penn was first introduced with the original Galaxy Note in 2011 – this original design was an inactive tool that depended on a WACOM layer in the note device to track its position and later, things like pressure also like pressure. .
Then in 2018, the Galaxy Note 9 added a battery and Bluetooth connectivity to the S Pen, so that it can trigger the actions remotely. In the camera, for example, a single press will take a photo, switch between a double press cameras. You can also pursue photos in the gallery app, go to the next slide in the powerpoint, control the music players and similarly, with this small remote that came up with the phone.
Very good, huh? Well, not apparently – Samsung says that most people were not using distance tasks. And so the remote control functionality of the Galaxy S25 Ultra S Pen was removed, knocked back to the pre -2018 features in time.
There will be no separate version of S Penn that can restore distance functionality on S25 Ultra, so it is. Of course, these days you can achieve similar tasks through other means: a galaxy clock, a galaxy ring or even the palm gestures for the camera.
Possibly, Samsung closely studied the data before deciding the long -running functionality with a unique feature on the Galaxy S Ultra. But let’s have a vote on it anyway – are you using remote control functionality of S Pen? Are you using S Pen?
