vivo X200 Ultra is getting an add-on zoom lens | Infinium-tech

Yesterday, Vivo teased a photography kit for its upcoming X200 Ultra Flagship which is due to launch in China on 21 April. This will not be the only optional camera accessory for the X200 Ultra as Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiano shared the details about an additional add-on zoom lens with co-engineering with Zes.

The lens connects the X200 Ultra photography kit through a custom adapter and sits on the 200MP periscope zoom lens of the phone. It has a complex 13-tukra glass lens setup, which expands the original 3.7x optical zoom of the 200MP sensor.

The add-on zoom lens offers AF/2.3 aperture with a 200 mm counterpart focal length with 8.7x optical zoom and up to 70x hybrid zoom. The post claims that shots up to 800 mm focal length (35X zoom) are “highly usable”, while shots can go to 1600 mm range (70x zoom).

We also find some sample shots that show how X200 Ultra performs with this ad-on lens. Shots provide impressive expansion at first glance. With photography kit, Vivo has not yet revealed the pricing and availability details for the ad-on lens.
