This is Samsung’s iPhone Fold competitor | Infinium-tech
Yesterday a leak gave us CAD-based renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8, and today the same source is back with some new CAD-based renders, this time of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide, which is apparently launching alongside the Fold8 and Flip8 this summer.

As you may already know from previous rumors, the Fold8 Wide has a wider form-factor, as its name suggests, and aims to satisfy Apple’s iPhone Fold (or iPhone Ultra), which will also have a wider aspect ratio. These are not intended to have a square internal screen, but with an aspect ratio reminiscent of a smaller tablet, increasing the usefulness of that folding display in the process.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide is codenamed H8 and model number SM-F971U. Its design language is similar to that of the Galaxy S25 Edge, especially when it comes to the camera island.
Notably, the Fold8 Wide is said to be identical to the Fold8, with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy SoC and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging support. Of course, the screens will have different sizes due to different aspect ratios: the folding display will be 7.6″, the cover display will be 5.4″.

The Fold8 Wide is said to measure 123.9 x 164.4 x 4.9 mm when unfolded and 123.9 x 82.2 x 9.8 mm when folded. The thickness at the camera bump is 14.6 mm. Price-wise, don’t be surprised if it will be similar to the Fold8.
