These Google Pixel 9 series features could come to older Pixels | Infinium-tech

The Google Pixel 9 series smartphones launched last month have new features that are exclusive to this lineup. These include Auto Frame and Reimagine, which may also come to older Pixel smartphones.

The publication says there are three variants of the Google Photos app with different configurations: one for all non-Pixel Android devices, one for Pixels launched between 2021 and 2023, and one for Pixels launched in 2024.

The Google Photos app for the 2024 Pixels, i.e. the Pixel 9 series, contains code strings related to the Auto Frame and Reimagine features, and these code strings are also found in the Google Photos app (v6.99) for Pixels launched between 2021 and 2023, suggesting that Google may bring both these features to older Pixels launched between 2021 and 2023.

The publication says that the regular version of the Google Photos app for non-Pixel devices does not include the code strings for Auto Frame and Reimagine, which means these will either not come to non-Pixel devices or will remain Pixel-exclusive for the time being.
