The new Honor 400 boasts 200MP main camera, Honor 400 Pro adds 50MP telephoto | Infinium-tech
A few years ago, the honors were the first time in the number-series for the convenience of 90 and 90 Pro 200MP cameras, but then the company flew away from the high resolution sensor for several generations. With the advent of the 400 series, the 200MP is back to the menu.
There are two new models – Honor 400 and 400 Pro. The latter is large and more powerful and has a dedicated telephoto camera. The vanilla model is slightly small and it is more economical, while still offers a 200MP main camera and all AI features that have dreamed of honor and Google.
Honor 400 Pro
The Honor 400 Pro 200MP is equipped with the main camera (1/1.4 “sensor, f/1.9 lens with OIS, a 50MP telephoto (1/2” with Sony IMX856, f/2.0 OIS) and 12MP Ultra-Wide camera (f/2.2 112 ° lens) with macro capability. The front camera is a 50MP unit.
This model is operated by Snapdragon 8 General 3 just like 300 Pro. It has been paired with 12GB RAM and 256/512GB storage. AI tools from Google Cloud and Honor’s work can still convert a photo into a video, remove passers -by, remove reflections and so on. There is more: AI subtitle, AI translation, AI writing equipment, AI summary and more. In addition to creative and function applications, AI can also protect you from the Deepfek detection feature that can catch the scam video call.
The Honor 400 Pro has a 6.7 ”quad-worth display with 120Hz refresh rate and 1,280 x 2,800px resolution. The pic HDR shine is 5,000 NITs with 3,840Hz PWM dimming.
The phone is 8.1 mm thick and weighs 205 grams. It has been rated IP68/IP69 for dust resistance. Inside is a 5,300mAh SI/C battery that supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. According to the company, the battery will retain at least 80% of its original capacity after 4 years of use (this is rated in 1,200 charge cycles).
The phone is launched with Magicos 9.0 (Android 15) and will be supported for 6 years with OS updates and security patch. Android 16 updates for the 400 series are expected to be at the end of this year.
Honor 400
The Honor 400 is a small model of both with 6.55 “display, a flat 120Hz panel with 1,264 x 2,736px resolution and the same 5,000 NITs with the same 5,000 NITs peak HDR shine. Charging with 3,840Hz PWM dimming.
The vanilla model has a 200MP main camera (1/1.4 “sensor, f/1.9 lens OIS), 12MP ultra-wide (f/2.2 112 °) in the vanilla model. There is no tele module, so 200MP sensors are assigned to work with zooming.
The Honor 400 is powered by Snapdragon 7 General 3, again, the same chipset as its predecessor. It has 8GB RAM and 256/512GB storage. This model has the same AI capabilities as Pro.
A final downgrade mentions that the vanilla phone only has a splash resistance with an IP65 rating.
Availability and pricing
The Honor 400 and 400 Pro launch will be available from tomorrow and honor.com, as well as through the partner retailers and carriers.
