The entry-level iPad is now rumored to get Apple Intelligence support this year | Infinium-tech
Apple’s latest entry-level iPad is from March last year, and it comes with an A16 Bionic chip along with 6GB of RAM. A new rumor today from a generally reliable source in Japan claims that a new entry-level iPad will be made official sometime this spring.
The device will look similar to its predecessor, but will be powered by the A18 chip (first seen in the iPhone 16) and get 8GB of RAM. This means it will support Apple Intelligence, as the amount of RAM appears to be the minimum required.

It looks like the SoC upgrade and additional RAM may be the only changes made to the cheapest iPad. If you’re interested in learning more about the current model, don’t miss our in-depth review.
