With 2024 behind us, it’s a good time to look back at all the phones we’ve tested this year and compile a list of the phones with the best speakers this year. We have also shortlisted tablets with the best sounding speakers.

We extracted data from 110 reviews produced over the past 2024 and listened to recordings of each phone. We picked the best-sounding phones in five categories. You’ll definitely notice differences in sound quality across ranges, as it’s heavily influenced by size, form factor, and even price.

Top speakers in foldables

This year’s three foldable phones were better than the rest. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 It has the best sound among this year’s foldables. It offers the best speakers with deep, warm sound and prominent bass without dulling the vocals and highs. The handset produces generally clear sound, although not very loud.

motorola razr 50 ultra The clamshell, despite being foldable, easily takes second place, with poor speakers due to lack of design/shape. The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra impresses with an exceptionally loud speaker with minimal distortion. Tracks generally sound clean with a good amount of bass.

google pixel 9 pro fold Takes third place in our best speaker ranking for foldables. The bass is not that impressive, but the overall sound quality is very good, especially with good vocals.
