Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 and V Flip 2 leak in hands-on photos, prices revealed | Infinium-tech
A few weeks ago, Tecno’s division in Ghana messed up and prematurely published some pre-order details for the company’s upcoming foldables. That post was quickly deleted and there’s still no official information on when the two phones will launch. But unofficially, you can get a look at their new designs thanks to this leak.
The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 (model number AE10) will have a Dimensity 9000+ processor and 12GB of RAM, as revealed by a Geekbench run. The internal display will have a resolution of 2,000 x 2,296px, which is the same as the original V Fold. The battery will be 5,610mAh (up from 5,000mAh).
According to rumours, the Phantom V Fold 2 will be priced at GHS 16,550 for the 12/512GB unit. That’s equivalent to $1,055/€955/£810/₹88,500.
The Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 will look quite different from its predecessor – the circular cover display will be replaced by a more traditional rectangular one. Unfortunately, it’s not powered on in these photos, so we can’t see its size and shape, but based on the FCC schematics, it will cover the back from the front to the sides and have two camera lenses with punch-holes. This model is also getting a bigger battery, at 4,490mAh (up from 4,000mAh) and faster 70W charging (up from 45W).
The Phantom V Flip 2 has the model number AE11 and will be powered by the Dimensity 8050. The 8/256GB unit is said to be priced at GHS 9,800, which is equivalent to $625/€565/£480/₹52,500.
The Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 and Phantom V Fold 2 are expected to launch in Ghana later this month (and of course they should be available in other regions as well).
