Spotify’s Page Match will let you sync your progress between audiobooks and physical books | Infinium-tech
Spotify is in the news today, and not because of another price hike, believe it or not. Instead, a new report has revealed a feature that will be coming to Spotify’s audiobooks soon.
It’s called Page Match and it’s pretty clever – it lets you take a picture of a page in a physical book, and once you do that Spotify will take you to the exact same spot in the audiobook. This lets you easily go from the audio version to the physical text if you’re so inclined.

Plus, it’s bidirectional – so it also tells you what page in the physical book the location you’re at in the audiobook corresponds to. Page Match has been discovered in the code of Spotify’s latest app, but the feature is not working yet. Still, the company is working on it, as proven by the screenshot above, so it should be coming soon.
Page Match will only work if you previously own or unlock the audiobook on Spotify. Obviously, it will only be available in markets where Spotify offers audiobooks. Interestingly, Amazon also has something similar but it only works between audiobooks and ebooks, not physical books.
