Spotify Offline Backup automatically creates a playlist for when you’re out of reach | Infinium-tech
Today Spotify is launching a solution to the problem of forgetting to download your favorite playlist before boarding a plane with no Wi-Fi. What to do? Well, there is nothing You Need to do, because Spotify is taking care of things. If you have premium, that is.
With offline backup, the app will automatically create a playlist that will be available on your device, so you can listen to it even when you’re out of reach. This includes your recently streamed and queued tracks, as well as tracks that are already cached on your device.
You can filter and sort songs in the playlist by artist, mood and genre, and the offline backup will grow as you continue listening, so it promises to always have something new for you.
So you’ll always have something to listen to when you’re in a signal-free area, even if you’ve forgotten to download some playlists in advance. Offline backup does not use any additional data or storage as it works with already cached tracks.
The new feature is now rolling out to Spotify Premium users on both Android and iOS globally. It will automatically appear in the home feed whenever you’re offline. For this to appear, you must have offline listening enabled and have recently listened to more than five songs. You can also add offline backups to your library for easy finding at another time.
