Sony is reportedly turning to third-party manufacturers for its high-end phones | Infinium-tech
Sony has used third-party manufacturers to produce her phone. The Japanese OEM has been doing this with its mid-rangers for some time, but according to the latest report, Sony will probably outsource its high-end smartphone construction.
According to a Japanese news outlet, it is not temporary and possibly a long -term strategy. In fact, you can no longer find “smartphone” in Sony’s list of equipment at Sony’s own production sites in Thailand. Historically, three manufacturing sites were involved in Sony’s smartphone production – two in Thailand and one in China. None of them now lists “smartphone”.

The report also stated that the recently released Xperia 1 VII is the first phone to gather by the third party manufacturer. What is worth it, we did not see any change in build quality while reviewing.
