Qualcomm is expected to unveil its next-generation Snapdragon flagship mobile processors in September. Rumors suggest that the lineup will include two SoCs, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. Now, a tipster has shared new information about the upcoming chipset.
According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the lineup will include the SM8950, believed to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, and the SM8975, presumably the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. Both chipsets are said to be built on TSMC’s 2nm process and feature a 2+3+3 CPU architecture.

The SM8950 is expected to come with Adreno 845 GPU and 12MB of GMEM (graphics memory). It is also expected to support 4×16MB LPDDR5X RAM along with 6MB last-level cache (LLC).
Meanwhile, the top-end SM8975 features a more powerful Adreno 850 GPU with 18MB GMEM and support for 4×24MB LPDDR6 or 4×16MB LPDDR5X RAM paired with 8MB LLC.
The tipster also claims that a Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 SoC is in the works, although its specifications are said to be less impressive.
