Samsung’s new app temporarily cures motion sickness through earbuds | Infinium-tech
Samsung has launched a new Android app that can work with its Galaxy Buds4 Pro to temporarily relieve you of motion sickness. The idea comes from a Japanese study conducted at Nagoya University, where researchers found that listening to a 100 Hz sine wave at 75–85 dB for several minutes could temporarily reduce motion sickness by improving balance.
Samsung’s Herapi app does exactly that. you can Download it from Play StoreAnd while the company says you should use it with your Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, there’s nothing stopping you from trying to use it with other earbuds – or even headphones. Of course, your mileage may vary depending on what you hear.
The app plays a precise 100Hz sine wave that will stimulate the balance system in your inner ear, as described by the Japanese researchers above. Listening to it for one minute can temporarily relieve you of motion sickness for up to two hours. You need to increase the volume to the point where it is loud but not uncomfortably so. Obviously, you can listen to the tone again as needed.
