Samsung Watch8 Classic brings back the rotating crown, is joined by the slim Galaxy Watch8 | Infinium-tech
Samsung has reconsidered the design of its smartwatch and has decided to go all-in to the square shape that starts with the Galaxy Watch Ultra. This generation brings two new models, a thin vanilla clock and a classic with a rotating bezel. There is no new ultra, just a new color and a storage collision for the original.
The so -called “cushion design” makes watches more comfortable to wear and it leads to better health tracking by improving the fit and making the watches more stable on your wrist. The new dynamic lug system also helps by reducing the gap between your wrist and watch. The only negative side is that now you need custom wrist straps instead of industry standard that uses previous models.
Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, Watch 8 and Ultra
The Samsung Galaxy Watch is 8 11% slimmer, which so far makes it the thinnest Galaxy watch at 8.6 mm – for comparison, the watch was 79.7 mm. It is a clean -cruel form and comes with a display of 40 mm and 1.47 ”in size 40 mm and 44 mm respectively. Displays are circular, not despite the not-so-circular shape of the clock.
Displays are now 50% bright and are able to reach 3,000 NITs for better outdoor visibility. They run the latest one UI 8 Watch (based on Wear OS 6) out of the box. There are many new features such as “deep notifications” (grouped to make them easier to read), commonly used apps can be pinned to the top and there are widgets that provide AT-A-Glance information.

Watch 8 also has a large battery – 40 mm at 325mAh and 435mAh, and 44 mm size, respectively, 300mAh and 425mAh to Watch 7. Fast wireless charging is supported.
The new models are powered by the same exynos w1000 3nm chipset used last year. Watch 8 has 2GB RAM and 32GB storage to work with it.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 brings back to the classic rotation bezel, which provides a more touched way to navigate the UI. There is also a new quick button on the side, which provides quick access to the most commonly used apps.
The classic measures only one size, 46 mm, and 10.6 mm thick. This watch is only 0.3 mm slimmer compared to 6 classic, but the reverse is a large battery – 425mAh.

However, it is disappointing to see that the screen is only 1.34 ” – the same size to the small 40 mm watch 8. Watch 6 Classic had a 1.3″ screen on the 43 mm version and 1.5 “screen on 47 mm model.
As we mentioned above, this watch is powered by Exynos W1000. However, 2 GB RAM is now combined with 64 GB storage – Watch (2025) the same capacity of ultra and Watch 6 as classic four times more. This is very good if you are using offline maps and music, for example.

New models have an advanced bioactive sensor to track biometrics (heart rate, spo2, etc.). Thanks to the refined design, you can also get accurate measurements during active movement. The Samsung Galaxy Watch is available in 8 graphite and silver and comes in 40 mm and 44 mm sizes. The Galaxy Watch 8 comes in classic black and white color and only 46 mm size. Both are available for pre-order starting today and will be out on 25 July.
