Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 gaming monitor with 500Hz refresh rate goes global | Infinium-tech
Samsung has announced the global rollout of its first 500 Hz OLED Monitor in its Odissi OLED G6 Gaming Monitor.
The monitor has a 27-inch QDI-Olade panel with 500Hz refresh rates, 0.03MS GTG (Gray-to-Gre) response time and 2560 x 1440px resolution. The panel is also certified Vesa Displayhdr True Black 500, which means the panel can reach 500 NITs, DCI-P3 covers 95% of the color location and that black is actually black. It is an OLED screen after all.
Samsung says that the monitor can go up to 1000 NITs, although it only refers to a small patch, just to be 3% accurate.
In any case, 500 NITs should be greater than enough, especially combined with the dazzling free layer of Samsung at the top. The ODI OLED G6 also has OLED safeguard+ technology which also prevents burn-in during extended use.
Last but at least, the device supports Nvidia’s G-Sink and AMD’s Freedy Premium Pro Adaptive Refresh Rate Technologies.
For now, Monitor will be available in Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia, but the rest of the world should expect OLED G6 by the end of this year.
