Samsung is saving its best displays for iPhones, not Galaxies | Infinium-tech
A new rumor from China suggests that Samsung will supply its best OLED panels to Apple for the iPhone 18 lineup. Reportedly, they will be quite bright and BOE is struggling to meet Apple’s brightness requirements, so panel production will be shifted to Samsung and possibly even LG.

This report is in line with recent information about Samsung’s LTPO+ panels being central to the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max. And in the same report, BOE is once again highlighted as the weak link in Apple’s supply chain as only Samsung and LG have the technology to make LTPO+ panels.
The said LTPO+ panels will not only be brighter, but will also allow Apple to stick the Face ID sensor behind the screen and potentially eliminate the notch.
As for the upcoming Galaxy S26 phones, they are rumored to have the exact same displays as their predecessors, which means Samsung is giving Apple its best displays while the Galaxy will have to settle, at least for now.
