Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra’s battery capacity may disappoint | Infinium-tech

The battery capacity of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra has leaked today, and it’s not good news if you’re an optimist and expecting a higher capacity than the S24 Ultra.

According to the famous leakster Ice Universe, the battery of the S25 Ultra will be exactly the same as the battery of the S24 Ultra, which will be 5,000 mAh. In addition, the maximum charging capacity will also remain unchanged at 45W.

So while the S25 Ultra is rumored to have some pretty significant changes, it appears that some things on the inside will stay exactly the same. What do you think of this move?

We’ll just say this – some of Samsung’s Chinese competitors have slowly started outfitting their flagships with bigger batteries, and rumour has it that the next product coming from China, expected later this year and early next year, will go even further – around 6,000 mAh, in fact. So with that in mind, when the S25 Ultra arrives in January, it may look a little underwhelmed in terms of battery capacity.

Finally, let’s add some more context: the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, which is supposed to power most Android flagships coming by 2025, has long been rumored to be quite power hungry. So, the Chinese companies mentioned above putting bigger cells in their devices could be a direct result of this.

But, if this rumor turns out to be true, Samsung will have done the whole “one step forward, two steps back” game, rounding off the corners of the S25 Ultra to make it less dangerous in the palm of your hand, but also possibly making its battery life worse compared to its main Android competitors.
