Samsung Galaxy S25 to only use Snapdragon chips, Fold7 and Flip7 get Exynos 2500 | Infinium-tech

There’s been a lot of buzz over the past few months about the chipset(s) powering Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 family, which is likely set to launch in January. First we heard it would be an Exynos-only affair, then two separate reports told us to expect Snapdragon everywhere.

Now another rumor from Samsung’s home Korea has confirmed Snapdragon’s victory. The Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra will all reportedly use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 globally. This is apparently done to “maximize the performance” of the S25 series.

Samsung Galaxy S25 will only use Snapdragon chips, Fold7 and Flip7 will get Exynos 2500

The Exynos 2500 will instead be used in the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7, which will be released in the second half of next year. This is an interesting twist, as foldables have relied on Snapdragon chips until now. By the time they come out, Samsung will have had time to improve the 2500’s yield and stabilize its performance, the report says.
