Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim not releasing until May | Infinium-tech
Samsung has scheduled an Unpacked event for January 22, where we are expected to see the Galaxy S25 series. The poster showed four devices (or at least corners of them), and we assumed we’d see four new phones – the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and a brand new Galaxy S25 Slim.
According to a rumor from China, there will be a delay to later May.
The new phone is expected to be just 6.5mm thin but it will be a larger device, sitting somewhere between the Plus and Ultra in terms of footprint. It will feature a 6.6” AMOLED panel with over 1080p resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The phone being slim means it’s likely to come with a new silicon-carbon battery, which is lighter but has a much larger capacity – probably around 5,000 mAh.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about Samsung delaying the Slim, and we’re still unsure whether the cryptic message is about China or not; This simply cannot be true. We’ll have to wait until next Wednesday when we’ll learn more on the show.
