Samsung Galaxy S25 phones are the first to support some new Qi charging features | Infinium-tech
The new Samsung Galaxy S25 Family does not affect with many meaningful upgrades, but even small people are welcome, such as Qi 2.1 wireless charging support.
As the version number means, changes are incremental. Wireless charging speed also has no boost – S25 ultra goes up to 25W, while the other two are capted at 15W. It is the same as before.
The most meaningful change is support for magnetic wireless charging accessories. Another clean new feature is the automatic alignment profile (AAP) power transmitter. This feature is mainly car-focused, as the QE 2.1-supported vehicle can move the charging coil and secure the connection. Qi 2.1 also solves mechanical intervention caused by camera bumps on some smartphones.
However, keep in mind that the cars with Qi 2.1 are not yet available. Perhaps the earlier people will come on the market for some time this year.
